Documentaries Worth Watching
It's finally the weekend and time to relax by doing a whole lot of nothing. I usually spend time finding random documentaries on Netflix (there's quite a few interesting ones about mysteries and cults if you like that kind of thing). I think documentaries are interesting because they give us a glimpse into worlds we may not see otherwise. As someone who loves learning I'll watch a documentary on pretty much anything.
So I Need to Buy....Flats
A few months back my favorite ballet flats were ruined by a random rainstorm. Okay maybe it wasn't actually random, but more like me ignoring the chance of rain and wearing them anyway. In my defense, saying it's going to rain here is just playing a game of Press Your Luck. 75% of the time it NEVER happens or is a drizzle.
What I Want To Eat
Sharing what I usually buy at the grocery store and realizing how often I do eat like a bird got me thinking about cooking meals. I do love to cook, but the last recipe I really put a ton of effort into making went terribly so I've felt a bit uninspired. Not to mention I've accidentally cut my fingers on every knife and vegetable peeler I touch recently. Uninspired, accident prone, and terrible seem to be the adjectives that best define me lately.
What I Always Buy At the Grocery Store
Sharing what I buy at the grocery store feels a little strange, but I try to curate this blog as more of a magazine. There are tons of articles and pieces from celebrity nutritionists and dietitians sharing what they make sure they feed their famous clients. But alas I'm a normal person so what does anyone really care about what I purchase on a daily basis?
Spring Shopping List
There are three factors that contribute to me wanting to go shopping. Either I haven't bought clothes in a while ("a while" being relative), Zara is having a sale, or I have just cleaned out my closet of clothes I no longer wear. Fortunately for me, all three of these things are currently true so I've created a bit of a shopping list. This shopping list is a combination of spring trends and just a few other things I wish my closet currently had.
Springtime City Guide: Phoenix
Full disclosure: it's been incredibly nice here the past couple weeks. Unless you count yesterday being about 96 degrees which is more of an outlier. Regardless, that means we are spending a ton of time outdoors lately. Phoenix in the spring has an influx of snowbirds avoiding the frigid temperatures of their home state in favor of pool days, baseball games, and hiking. While it might be my biggest driving annoyance (just because it's sunny doesn't mean we drive differently!), I figured I would share more of my favorite places to visit in the Phoenix metro area.
