I Pretty Much Live in Black Skinny Jeans & Here's My Go-To Outfits
I have at least 4 pairs of black jeans of varying styles. Ultimately I just really like how black jeans and slim black pants pull an outfit together. They can look laid back, dressed up, or nearly anywhere in between.
Q&A: What Is Your Hair Routine?
I get asked about my hair a lot. Even my hair dresser refuses to cut it above a certain length despite having so much fun dying it from time to time (it’s been every color of the rainbow). So much so i’m starting to feel like it’s my best feature. Okay, maybe that’s being a little overdramatic.
How to Tidy Up in 2019
If there is one thing everyone knows about me, it is that I enjoy being clean, tidy, and organized. This year I decided I wanted to kick off the year in a new place. Not a new place physically, but a place that could give me a better mindset for the year ahead. But as I settled into the new year I could feel like nothing but a cluttered mess. I took stock of what I needed and set out to get rid of everything that was no longer serving me. Sure, I’ve written about my spring cleaning a few times, but this was much earlier than expected and very needed.
What I'm Listening To Volume 14
Well, this blog has become more of a playlist only blog hasn’t it? It’s 10 days into the new year and I am feeling completely burnt out. I’m hoping this changes soon and we can get back to regularly scheduled blog programing. I managed to put together some songs from last year I never shared in a playlist and some new ones that have caught my ears over the last few days.
The Best Music of 2018
While the last 365 days weren’t always the greatest, there was one thing I could always rely on: music. So keeping up with tradition I’ve compiled my favorite music of 2018 all in one place. It took awhile and a bit of going back and forth about skipping it altogether, but here it is: my favorite albums and songs of 2018.
MIX NO. 21 // CLASSIC CHRISTMAS
I know there is a love/hate relationship many people have with holiday music. Some people love it. Some people hate it. But I genuinely like it. Except, when it basically starts playing on the radio in like…July. There is just something I cherish about listening to 85 covers of the same song while driving around picking up presents and baking. There is just something special about listening to these festive songs while wrapping gifts that makes it a much easier task. Even for a perfectionist like myself.
All the Holiday Cookies I'll Be Baking This Weekend
Welcome to the Land of Stress Baking! The holiday season is peak stress baking time for a couple of reasons. So far I have not made a single thing which feels incredibly weird. But I am ready to start baking. All of my stress has piled on and I am ready to use this weekend for hours and hours of baking. Something I’m sure everyone I know is excited about because they will all reap the rewards. There are THREE staples when it comes to my cookie tins and trays.
5 Things It's Really Important to Stop Doing
As we inch closer to the new year, it’s not unusual to get introspective. Nearly everything on the internet right now is a retrospective of the year. The word of the year, the albums of the year, the Google searches of the year…its hard not to begin thinking about how we’ve spent the last 300 and something days.
In the Kitchen: The Struggle for the Perfect Pumpkin Pie
Pumpkin Pie is no doubt one of the best things about Thanksgiving and fall in general. I think I’ve tried every pumpkin pie recipe known to man trying to find the very best one. Some just never had the right spice levels and the others just never had the right cook time. But this recipe has become my favorite pumpkin pie recipe.
