MIX NO. 63 // I'M THE CAPTAIN NOW IIII
It’s time for the latest themed Monthly Mix and this time we are going with one of my absolute favorite mixes: I’m the Captain Now. Summer is the optimal time for Yacht Rock. Okay, frankly any time of year is a good time for Yacht Rock, but right now it’s summer and it’s a vibe. I just love the genre so much. It reminds me of when I was younger and they were staples on the radio. It makes me want to just cruise around on a bought enjoying an ice cold glass of rosé and maybe wear a captains hat.
I haven’t made a new volume of I’m the Captain now in a couple years so this 2023 volume is loaded to the brim. I’m talking over 2 hours of yacht rock classics mixed with dreamy indie pop that gives off nothing but modern yacht rock vibes. I truly tried to narrow the playlist down even more, but really why bother? It’s honestly just that good and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And if you don’t, well maybe you need a nice cocktail and some time to relax. Sheesh.
