SIX PIECES ON MY RADAR AT THE MOMENT

I’m going to be honest - I absorb a lot of content. All of the trend articles that never really seem to be on the same page, the highlights on specific brands, especially upcoming brands, and, of course, the millions of Reels talking about one thing or another, or all wearing the same piece styled differently. How else could I not only run this website but also continuously update it for over two decades now without being inspired and wanting to give my own perspective on things? I mean, seriously. But since I do absorb so much of the internet on a daily basis, I thought I’d share six pieces I’ve been drawn to or obsessed with lately. The things I’d actually wear, actually buy, actually think about more than it takes to scroll right past it. Some of them are having a real moment, and others are just living in my head rent-free, getting their own moment there. Either way, you need to know about them.

The Row Bags

Please. As someone who shopped the Mary-Kate and Ashley collection back in the day, there wasn’t a chance in hell I wouldn’t love or be obsessed with The Row. I know this isn’t exactly a hot take, but there have been a few bags that specifically have been pulling me in more than usual. The Agnes in particular has this understated weight to it that makes everything else in the room look like it’s trying too hard. The Faye is another of my favorites. It’s giving doctor’s bag meets the YSL satchel I wouldn’t let go of years ago.

Cinched-Waist Jackets

The oversized everything was fun for a while, but when I saw a cinched leather jacket a few weeks ago, I couldn’t stop looking at it. I suddenly fell into a rabbit hole of cinched trench coats, technical jackets, and the like. Cinched-waist jackets, especially in leather, are doing it for me right now. They give shape without feeling fussy. I’ve been obsessed with the Helsa peplum moto jacket and the Veda Lennox bomber from Reformation, but honestly, even a belted khaki version works. The point is the silhouette: fitted waist, full attitude.

Jude Heels

I don’t have a lot to say about Jude heels other than it was impossible to stop browsing them after I saw the heels above. The shape of the heel itself just stopped me in my tracks. The shape of all their heels is fascinating without being unwearable, and they look good with basically everything I own, so it kinda seems like I need some. If I can immediately picture three outfits, it’s a yes from me.

Half-Zip Pullovers

I blame the off-duty model aesthetic for this one. A half-zip over a slip skirt with a messy bun and sunglasses? Done. There are so many different options that are sporty and not sporty-sporty. Colors that fit just any style aesthetic and goes with anything. The Les Tien one below is one of my current favorites. I just like how cropped and relaxed it is.

Jacquemus x Nike Sneakers

Jacquemus teamed up with Nike previously, and I loved every second of it. But the Moon Shoe collab has been living in my head rent-free for weeks now. I’ve seen so many Instagram posts with them, and the colorways are gorgeous. They are almost a cooler, more sculptural version of the sneakerina that feels very Jacquemus. Their whole collab is like someone who took a running shoe and gave it an art degree. I don’t need another sneaker, I’m aware. But these technically don’t count as sneakers, right? They’re a whole conversation.

Bow-Tie Tops

I’d be lying if I didn’t say bow-tie tops are one of my all-time favorite closet pieces. I literally just pulled my favorite polka dot cape version out of the closet for a meeting a couple of weeks ago. And then shortly realized my absolute favorite pink sheer bow-tie blouse is gone, and I must find it. There’s something about these tops that makes me feel a little like being in a French film, but still a girl in control. It’s feminine without being precious, and it works just as well tucked into jeans as it does under a blazer. And with leather shorts like above? Forget it. I’d wear it any day. The YSL top below is a dream, but this is a silhouette worth finding at any and every price point.

That’s the radar for now

Six pieces, no filler, nothing I wouldn’t actually wear. I’m sure I’ll be back with more because hello. I’m me.
