BEYOND BOOTS: FALL’S COOLEST SNEAKERS
I feel like the queen of boots. Or at least the sheer amount of boot boxes in my closet right now would lead you to believe that. But over the past couple of years, I’ve become pretty fond of sneakers. I’m no sneakerhead, but some outfits and days just call for a good trainer. As the temperatures start to shift and the layers start to layer, why not start leaning into the biggest sneaker trends of the season?
This fall’s sneaker trends really run the gamut, leaving something for everyone. Some are really out there, making a statement, and some are bold new takes on classics. In this post, I’m walking you through five sneakers worth exploring and/or having in your closet this season. Think of it as your seasonal sneaker cheat sheet - versatile, unexpected, and photo-ready…if that’s your thing.
Low Pro
The low-profile sneaker is everyone’s favorite this year, and for good reason. Sometimes less really is more. Low-profile sneakers are all about minimal silhouettes, clean lines, and underplayed hardware. Look for tonal laces, matte eyelets, smooth leather, and subtle stitching. These are all hallmarks of the perfect fall 2025 low-pro trendy sneaker. Pair them with cropped trousers or soft knits for a contrast of casual and elevated that feels modern without trying too hard.
Silver
Silver is the dark horse contender of the bunch. Metallics still feel fresh, and a silver sneaker bridges the boundary between everyday sneaker and a big statement. They have enough shine to play with reflectivity against the city lights, but can still read softly when paired back with neutrals. Silver sneakers are almost your “now you see me, now you don’t” pair. Styling these babies doesn’t need to be daunting. Ground them with richer textures like corduroy, wool, or leather. Elevate them with a tonal outfit - think beige, charcoal, or cream. They work best as an accent, not a focal point, so keep the rest of your look quiet, and let the shine whisper.
Sporty
This one certainly isn’t new, but it remains one of my favorites. Sporty sneakers are where function meets fashion. They are designed for movement, performance, and pushing boundaries. These days, the versions getting the most mileage are refined with curved panels, tonal branding, and breathable mesh overlaid with a sleek design. Sporty sneakers fit the bill for running errands to walking the city to just simply commuting. Pair them with tailored joggers, relaxed trousers, or even a midi skirt for a kind of sporty look.

Suede
Suede is another trend moving up the ranks this fall, and it adds mood without shouting it. Its texture softens denim or structured trousers, and brings warmth to colder days without relying on obvious “fall colors.” Suede sneakers come in so many different shades, so they feel elegant and not just seasonal. Suede can feel risky in the fall with the influx of different types of weather, so just remember, suede will always breathe a little. Rotate the sneakers throughout the season, possibly skip them if rain is in the forecast, or always have a backup.
White
White sneakers remain one of fashion’s biggest wildcards. They serve as a clean base or a quiet exclamation point, depending on what you build around them. The trick is embracing their imperfections - if you can (the hardest part for me!). The scruff tells the story. Style these bold babies with contrast. Think black denim, camel knitwear, or pops of saturated color. Mix materials like leather or off-white tones so they never fall flat. Now, as much as the imperfections can tell amazing stories, keep those cleaning tools close, because a little maintenance goes a long way in keeping white sneakers happy for a long time.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Who doesn’t love a well-chosen sneaker? It just whispers intention, balances practicality, and opens doors for outfit possibilities without demanding attention. This fall, don’t feel boxed into the usual silhouette. Try one, or all if you’re daring, of these styles and let your sneaker rotation reflect your vibe. Don’t just let them carry you through the day. They are the moment.
